Bharatiya Kala Vikash Kendra
Pradip Moitra is a senior artist and art educator with more than 25 years of experience in the field of fine arts. He is an alumnus of the Indian Society of Oriental Art, the historic institution established by Abanindranath Tagore, which played a significant role in shaping the Bengal School of Art and the development of modern Indian artistic traditions.
Over the course of his long artistic journey, he has developed strong expertise in colour mixing and refined brush control, allowing him to achieve depth, balance, and precision in his paintings. Alongside painting, he is also experienced in sculpture, reflecting his versatility across both two-dimensional and three-dimensional art forms. His artistic practice focuses particularly on realistic, conceptual, and devotional painting, where technical mastery meets expressive artistic vision.
Pradip Moitra has also participated in various art exhibitions across India, including in Kolkata, Jamshedpur, Delhi, Mumbai, Shimla, Bangalore, and Ahmedabad, as well as internationally in Dubai, where his works have been appreciated by wider audiences.
At Bharatiya Kala Vikash Kendra, Pradip Moitra serves as the Bibhagiya Adhyaksa (School of Arts), where he plays an important role in guiding the academic and artistic development of students. Through his experience and dedication to art education, he continues to mentor aspiring artists and encourage them to build strong foundations in technique, creativity, and appreciation of the rich traditions of Indian art.
